“The ACE Centre North is a registered charity which aims to enhance, advance, promote and encourage the effective uses of Assistive Technology in learning and education for individuals of all ages with physical and communication impairments”.
The Department of Health’s White Paper: Valuing People, 2001, states there are over 210,000 people with severe and profound learning disabilities and 1.2 million with mild/moderate learning disabilities. However, due to a lack of statutory funding, only 53% of these peoples receive communication aids, with nearly a third not receiving sufficient training in how to use their equipment. These numbers are expected to rise by over 1% per annum over the next ten years.

If you are a UK taxpayer, you can make your gift worth even more. Simply complete the Gift Aid declaration form attached to the regular giving form. . If you do this, we will receive an extra 28% on top of the gift you give and it won’t cost you a penny extra.

Donate directly from your salary
Donating to The ACE Centre North directly from your salary couldn’t be easier.
Once you have decided how much you would like to give, this amount is taken from your salary before tax is deducted. In other words, if you give The ACE Centre North £10 per month, your salary only reduces by £7.70 per month (if you are a basic rate tax payer). And until April 2003, the Government will contribute a further 10% to all donations.
You can make donations to The ACE Centre North from your salary if you are a UK taxpayer and if your payroll department runs a ‘Give As You Earn’ scheme.
