ACE Centre North Projects

'Let's All Play'

This is an exciting 2 year project supported by the Big Lottery Fund designed to empower pre-school children with physical and communication difficulties to participate fully in free and directed play activities........ AND HAVE FUN!

'No Speech but lots to Say'

This a 3 year project funded by the Depatment of Health to assist adults with little or no speech to share their views and influence the development of local health services by commenting on the implementation of the National Service Framework 'Quality Requirements'. We are looking for people who would like to participate in this project in the following six regions. Oldham, Liverpool, Newcastle, Nottingham, Milton Keynes and Oxford. 'Children and Young Peoples Project'

This project aims to develop new protocols for the provision and support of Assistive Technology and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) within the emerging context of Children’s Trusts. The project will develop protocols and procedures for:
- local integrated service delivery using multi-agency resources;
- influencing the local agenda (including children and parent involvement);
- integrated multi-agency management.
The project will build on expertise established during the DfES Communication Aids Project (CAP)
